I often see memes on Facebook that declare ghosts are really just demons in disguise, and I have heard since I was a child that there are no such thing as ghosts. Is that the biblical witness?

As a guy without a shell. I can only see the spirit world with my eyes closed. But this is not the Astral plane used by New Age devotees either. The Celestial city of John Bunyan and Dante’s Inferno I don’t see or hear at all. Thank you.
