I had lunch a few weeks ago with a Seer, and we discussed seers and drugs. His gifting is different than some of the others I talk about.
He doesn’t see spirits, but he can read the spirit of a person, as in detecting their aura. He can see people’s destinies, and prophetically say it. He can tell a person’s character or inclinations based on reading their aura.
He says he doesn’t know how he can, but he just can, and that’s been the case for as long as he can remember.
What’s interesting is, he has chosen to align himself with Jesus, and so he uses this gift to speak life into people.
Something that stood out to me was this: at one point, he took psychotropic medication to deal with his depression. Once he took the drugs, his seeing stopped. He hated it. Plus, the drugs only dealt with the symptoms of his depression, and not the root cause. Ultimately, he gave up the drugs and allowed Jesus to heal him of the root of his depression (and the symptoms left). More interestingly to me, his seeing gift returned.
Just what impact on brain chemistry do drugs have? Do they impact the pineal gland? Is that the tool that the brain uses to detect the spirit world?
When I took Valium for over 2 years it really did dumb down the prophetic gifting. Prophetic people beware:the devil wants you on Benzos…..
Would you expand on this? I am having a terrible time – back on benzos. I don’t know if I am a Seer – I’d like to and things really resonate me and experiences I’ve had both tormenting and “magical” and wonderful beyond belief but I’m in a current season of back to “torment” I got back on “benzos” and my bf thinks I’m crazy but I tell him I’m being attacked by demons in my mind even in sleep I wake up terrified often crying I’m frozen for an hour, my body hurts. I have severe trauma also and people tell me it’s just from that. I don’t think so though…
I relate more to this one.. Seeing the auras and preceiving the personalities and destinies of individuals… I rather embrace my wilderness exspirence and see God in the burning bush rather than go through the back door as a whisperer and soothsayer.. Besides I was only tormented by the voices of demons when I smoked.
Perceiving the destinies, especially God’s intentionality for people, is a gift of prophecy. I’ll be writing more on this in the future.
can you explain this some more? I’d really like to know do you mean weed or cigarettes? Can you tell me what the torment felt for you like? I am going through something similar….haven’t known what’s what.
