When Your Child Sees Orbs

Yesterday I began to wonder, not for the first time, if my youngest child sees orbs or if she just has an overactive imagination.

It was a beautiful late Spring day here in the Midwest of the United States. She is three years old, and she loves her daddy and wanted to go on a bike ride. So I put her on the child’s seat over the rear bicycle wheel, and we headed through the residential working class neighborhoods around our houses.

A spring rain had just passed, the tree leaves glistened and tinkled softly in the gentle breeze, as the warm sun peaked through the breaking clouds.

She laughed and said, “This is fun!” and chattered on and on, and I wondered why we haven’t gone out on the bicycle earlier this year.

Several minutes later, she became quiet and then she said in a frightened voice, “Daddy, I want to go home.”

I asked her why, and she replied, “I’m scared. That ball is following me.”

I asked, “What ball?”

She said, “That pink one.”

I looked and of course, there wasn’t a ball to be seen. We continued riding, and I turned a corner. I said, “Honey, there’s no ball following us.”

She turned her head to look and replied reasonably in her soft voice, “Yes there is. It’s right there. It’s scary.” She appeared puzzled that I could not see it.

After a few moments, I turned down another street and asked, “Is it still there?”

She said, “Yeah. I don’t like it.”

I said, “In the name of Jesus, anything following us must leave us right now.” And then I added, “Unless you’re an angel from God.”

Then I asked, “Honey, is it gone?”

She pointed down a side street and said, “It’s leaving. It’s going that way.”

In my mind’s eye, I pictured a pink, translucent orb moving away from us. A block later, she was back to her normal, chatty self and asked if we could keep riding.

What are Orbs?

Orbs are a visible manifestation of spirit entities, either dark or good. I have never seen one and I suspect many pictures of “orbs” on the Internet are lens flare or other artifacts in imaging software.  But spirits are real and when people pick up on them visually, they can appear to be orbs.

Psychics, witches, and others will use orbs to forecast future events.  Other kinds of orbs represent angelic entities allied with Jesus.

When orbs bring a message, measure it to the Truth as revealed by Jesus. If someone receives a message from an orb, ask if it confesses that Jesus came in the flesh, died, and rose again. If it will not confess that or if it denies that Jesus came, died, and rose again, then no matter what the message it delivers, distrust it.

Prayer and Orbs

I don’t know if my 3 year old saw something or not, but why doubt her?

She is only 3 and already gives indications of being extremely spiritually sensitive to the unseen realm, as our oldest daughter was at that age.

If she did see a spirit following us, then it was watching us and bringing fear. I took her report seriously and took authority over it.

My family is emerging from a severe spiritual attack and my wife and I have heightened awareness of the conflict between the Kingdom of God and the forces that hold sway over this world. I have no patience for the enemy’s influence in my life or over my family. At this point, I pray and command first, and ask questions later.

If it’s just her imagination, the prayer of command is still valid. My mind and heart tuned to Jesus and released Kingdom authority around me. That’s always valid.  If she saw something and the prayer drove it away, so much the better.
